Key Staff

The Sollis Partnership has a fifteen-year history of designing, developing and implementing clinical & management information solutions for the National Health Service.

Our NHS Customers include Acute Trusts, Primary Care Trusts, Mental Health Trusts and Shared Services Organisations.

Nigel Slone, Managing Director

NigelNigel has had a long and varied relationship with the NHS. He started his NHS career as a Management Trainee back in 1984 and for seven years worked in a series of management posts both at a Trust and Health Authority level. In 1991 he joined the South West Thames Regional Computer Centre (RCC), where he met Dave Sollis. At the SWTRCC, Nigel and Dave were part of the team responsible for the creation of one of the first regional ‘clearing’ databases - PID (Patient Information Database).

In 1994 Nigel and Dave founded The Sollis Partnership with the specific aim of delivering back to the NHS low cost / high value management information systems and business intelligence solutions. In January 2009 Nigel assumed the role of Managing Director at Sollis, allowing Dave to take on the new role of Technical Director. Nigel has a passion for delivering ‘business’ value to NHS organisations. Outside of the business his other passions centre on sport. He is a self confessed ‘cricket tragic’.

Dave Sollis, Technical Director

DaveDave is Technical Director at Sollis and has over 30 years Healthcare IT experience. Prior to forming the Sollis Partnership with Nigel Slone he was employed in the National Health Service as Information Services Director at the South West Thames Regional Computer Centre where he gained a detailed knowledge of NHS IM&T and extensive experience of NHS applications. Prior to working for South West Thames Region Dave worked for the Department of Health in a variety of areas including systems for prescription analysis and information retrieval.

Up until January 2009 Dave was Managing Director at Sollis, but as the organisation grew, Nigel took on this role and since then Dave has been concentrating on the technical side. He has been responsible for the conception and development of all the Sollis key systems including the Clarity Contract Management (CMS) and Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) systems. Dave was also responsible for the design & development of Sollis’s Business Intelligence & OLAP Reporting software – SP Hypercube.

He has a detailed knowledge of healthcare Information needs and has been involved at a detailed level in both assessing and implementing solutions.

Jeremy Rolls, Business Development Director

JeremyA twenty-plus year veteran of the IT industry Jeremy has a passion for turning innovative technology into successful business opportunities.  He started his career as an engineer writing real-time software, including code that was used to help launch the Space Shuttle. Jeremy’s subsequent move into engineering management saw him run a development department of twenty-five software, hardware and test engineers. He then spent seven years in a senior management role at Sun Microsystems where he was instrumental in building Sun’s presence in the telco market.

Jeremy joined Sollis in 2006 as Business Development Director and has seen Sollis’s revenue more than quadruple in the last three years.

Jeremy has a BSc (Hons) from the University of York and an MBA from the Kingston Business School. He is a past winner of a British Design Award and holds several US patents. When not at work Jeremy enjoys playing and watching sport and travelling with friends and family.

Martin Tedd, Head of Customer Services

MartinMartin has over twenty years experience in the NHS starting as a statistician in a smoking and health study and moving into a wide variety of information and technology roles. He has been with the Sollis Partnership since its inception and has worked both as a systems developer and as an IT/Information consultant for many NHS clients. During the last 15 years with the Sollis Partnership he has been involved in the conception and development of the Sollis Healthcare Commissioning system – Clarity.CMS.  Martin has been deeply involved in the work associated with the new commissioning guidelines as they concern Payment by Results.

In the last year Martin has become Head of Customer Services at Sollis, managing both the Support and Implementation teams. He is keen that his team members build good relationships with the customers and provide an accessible interface with Sollis products.

He is an avid Aston Villa supporter which he excuses as a genetic defect!
